I have worked with Nick through my job, and am very excited to have someone who is active in and aware of LGBTQ+ and diversity issues in the area.

Nick thrived after being an LGBTQ student in the Fox Valley and surely knows exactly what it takes to create an inclusive atmosphere for ALL our students.

Nick has been an active community member for years. We need diversity on the board and someone who will speak up. Nick has always been friendly when I speak with them and recently listened to some concerns at AASD, truancy task force, attendance, accountability for SROs, etc.

I first met Nick through Goodwill’s LGBTQ youth group. I was drawn to Nick rather instantly; Nick is kind, fun, and promotes openness and acceptance 100%. Nick knows how we need to change things to be more acceptable of others, especially those who struggle to get accepted. We need more people like Nick Ross on the school board.

Nick Ross is a former coworker who always had the biggest heart. They are determined to protect the LGBTQIAP+ community in our area, specifically protecting transgender students.

I believe having more School Board members who strive to make our district a safer and more equitable place for children of color are needed as we live in an area with little to no diversity in our teachers, administrators, and staff which does not reflect the population in Appleton at all. I am excited that Nick Ross has made the decision to run for a seat on the Appleton School Board. While working with Nick on the Friends of the Appleton Public Library Board, I have been impressed with Nick’s commitment to our community. Nick Ross has demonstrated a profound desire to ensure that our community is a great place to grow up, work, and live for lifelong residents and the newest members of our community. If elected, he will work with other school board members, educators, students, and community members to continually improve the quality of the educational experience for all students and their families.
